One of the fundamental work areas of FAFICS is effective communication between all involved parties. Under this pillar, the following areas are covered:
The Standing Committee on Communication (SCC) was established in the. 54th FAFICS Council in July 2024, following concerns raised by member associations and recommendations from the 52nd and 53rd FAFICS Council Sessions. It operates under the oversight of the FAFICS Bureau to enhance communication strategies and improve engagement with member associations. The committee’s objectives include:
The SCC is composed of 5 to 8 members, including three from the Bureau. Officers such as the Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, and Rapporteur are nominated by the Bureau and appointed by the Council for two-year terms, with a maximum of two consecutive terms.
The SCC consists of representatives from FAFICS member associations with expertise in communication and IT. The current composition includes:

The SCC has undertaken various activities to strengthen FAFICS' communication strategy. These include:
- Regular virtual meetings to coordinate efforts.
- Website development and maintenance.
- Distribution of newsletters and bulletins.
- Participation in advocacy initiatives to improve FAFICS' visibility.
The SCC has delivered several key outputs, including:
- FAFICS Brochure
- FAFICS website updates.
- Annual bulletin and President's newsletter.
- Regular advocacy materials.
- Reports on communication strategies and progress.
The SCC works closely with:
- The FAFICS Bureau for alignment with organizational goals.
- Quattro Medios Digitales for website maintenance.
- Member associations for content contributions.
- Translation services to ensure multilingual accessibility.
